Michigan Rural Development Council (MRDC) is an organization dedicated to providing assistance to Owners, Managers, and Developers of Rural Development Section 515 projects through education. Over 60% of the Section 515 properties in Michigan are members of the Association. MRDC serves as a forum for issues of mutual concern to both Rural Development and MRDC Members to be raised and resolved.
MRDC is dedicated to rural multi-family housing which serves the welfare of Michigan’s rural very low to moderate income individuals and households.
MRDC is a State Affiliated Association of the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (CARH) in Alexandria, Virginia.
Membership in CARH gives MRDC instant contact with other industry professionals and staff members in the USDA Rural Development National Office. CARH’s credibility illustrates to others that we are untied and network with other housing professionals. CARH fights for the industry position by protecting the interests of Owners, Managers and Developers with USDA Rural Development and Congress.
There are two membership options;. Management Agents, Owners, Developers, and industry professionals are eligible to be Associate Members. Properties individually are eligible to join as a Property Member.
